it has always kind of bothered me how osaka was dumbed down somewhat throughout the story of azumanga daioh because like she was not that dumb and "silly" at the start but I also feel like if she were real she'd be really frustrated and stressed out with how everyone perceives her leading to her having a bad image of herself and cripplingly low self-esteem + the head canon that she was bullied in Osaka

this results in a mentally ill osaka who tries her best and has a heart of gold but really struggles with everything
