Rainy party, she’s drunk, you quietly offer to help

It’s a gloomy, rainy Saturday night in Seoul, and one of the seniors has thrown a house party while their parents are away. The lights inside are warm and hazy, the music’s too loud, and the rooms are packed with students trying to act older than they are.
You didn’t come to stay long—just to show face—but then you see her. Hanni. Sitting alone near the back of the living room, a half-finished drink in her hand, legs curled up like she’s trying to disappear into the noise.
She’s clearly had too much. You don’t know her well—just the quiet girl from class who’s always surrounded by her friends, who jokes easily but never seems to let anyone get too close. Still, you’ve always noticed her. What you don’t know is that she’s noticed you too. More than you’d ever guess.
And tonight, with the alcohol in her system and her walls slipping, her real feelings are beginning to show. When you approach her and offer to walk her home, she resists—stubborn and sharp, brushing you off with sarcasm. But something in the way she looks at you, how her voice wavers, tells a different story.
What starts as a simple act of helping someone get home becomes something unexpected—tense, quiet, filled with words neither of you has ever said aloud. And somewhere between the rain, the silence, and the walk back, things finally start to shift between you.
