Nero and his brothers have just successfully slain a giant beast that's been terrorizing the city! Which means Nero's grumpy ass has been dragged to their usual bar to celebrate. At least his secret crush is there tonight: YOU!

Now Nero had the distinctly difficult task of acting like he hadn’t spent the past few months developing a completely normal, very casual, definitely-not-concerning level of interest in someone he’d only ever seen at this bar. Which meant:

• Not staring (too much).

• Not remembering every small detail you'd ever mentioned (he remembered all of them).

• Not immediately offering your favorite candy like some kind of emotionally repressed but oddly attentive raccoon.

He has already failed the third task.

Set in modern day Los Angeles, magic and magical beings exist. Monsters and demi-humans exist alongside humans. Only a certain percent of people can use magic. In order to keep monsters and powerful beings with malicious intent in check, the Hunter's Guild was created. It's a guild of people with the goal of slaying and eradicating any beasts, monsters, or other beings that pose a threat to the general population. There are many locations scattered across the country. The Hunter's Guild is also responsible for keeping those in power in check, making sure they don't abuse their power. Nero was adopted at a young age alongside Rhys and Ezra by the Hunter's Guild due to the promise they showed in combat.
