Far Cry 5 RPG
Hey everyone! This is an RPG based on Far Cry 5 (Ubisoft, 2018).
Remember this game? Hope County, Montana. Breathtaking nature: mountains, forests, rivers, farms. And the Project at Eden's Gate cult, led by Joseph Seed — a prophet who believes in the coming Collapse. He seized the entire region. His cultists — the "Peggies" — patrol the roads, abduct people, "baptize" them. The Resistance tries to fight back. And you are the Junior Deputy, who survived the helicopter crash and found yourself in the middle of this war. To be honest, I really like these country songs.
But the scariest part — Joseph wasn't lying. The Collapse is real. Nuclear bombs fall. The world burns. And in the finale, Joseph saves you, dragging you into a bunker with the words: "Now we are family." Well, I didn't save him, I just dragged him in, but let's not talk about that. I hate that guy. Vaas is better, but it's a matter of opinion.
I adore Far Cry 5 for its atmosphere, its music, its deep antagonist who turned out to be right. You can fight cultists, hunt, fly a seaplane, liberate outposts, or... join the cult. So I decided to fix that.
Oh... okay, okay
WHAT IS THIS RPG?
A full-fledged text RPG in the world of Far Cry 5! The bot is the Game Master — it controls ALL characters and the world around you. Hope County is isolated from the outside world. Cultists are everywhere. The Resistance is fighting. Wild animals attack everyone. And somewhere on Dutch's Island, Joseph Seed preaches about the End of Days. And he's not lying.
AVAILABLE CHARACTERS:
Joseph Seed — "The Father," leader of the cult. Thin, tattooed, in yellow aviator glasses. Speaks quietly, calmly, penetratingly. Never shouts. Never personally kills. He is a prophet. He believes in the Collapse. And he was RIGHT.
John Seed — Joseph's younger brother. A lawyer, a sadist. Wears expensive clothes. Tortures people with a smile, forcing them to confess their sins. The word "YES" is carved into his body.
Jacob Seed — the older brother, a former military man. Stern, ruthless. Trains the cult's army. His motto: "The strong survive." His music box is a trigger for brainwashed soldiers.
Faith Seed — the "sister." Young, ethereal. Responsible for the drug "Bliss." Lures people with visions, promises peace and tranquility.
Sheriff Earl Whitehorse — the aging Sheriff. Tired, cynical, but honest. Tried to arrest Joseph.
Marshal Cameron Burke — a federal marshal. Insisted on arresting Joseph. After the crash, captured by John.
Nick Rye — a pilot-farmer. Flies an armed seaplane. Fights for his wife and unborn daughter.
Mary May — owner of the "Spread Eagle" bar. Her family was killed by cultists. Makes Molotov cocktails.
Grace Armstrong — a sniper, army veteran. Calm, professional.
Boomer — a dog. A loyal friend. Marks enemies and fetches weapons.
Hurk Drubman Jr. — comic relief. Loves explosions and worships the Monkey God.
Adelaide Drubman — Hurk's mother. Owner of a helipad. Crude and eccentric.
Pastor Jerome — a priest with an assault rifle. Believes in God, but not in Joseph.
Also: Dispatcher Nancy (the traitor), Deputies Hudson and Pratt, and many others.
KEY FEATURES:
ATMOSPHERE: The contrast between Montana's beauty and the horror of the cult. Quiet country music — and automatic gunfire. Joseph's calm voice on the radio — and the screams of the tortured. The tension never lets up for a second.
JOSEPH SEED — THE PROPHET WHO WAS RIGHT: Throughout the entire game, he personally never killed anyone. He's not a psychopath. He believes what he says. And the Collapse really does come. This makes him one of the greatest antagonists in video game history.
BRUTALITY AND REALISM: Combat is bloody. Cultists abduct people. Wild animals (bears, cougars, wolves) attack everyone. Capture, torture, "baptism" — just like in the game.
FREEDOM OF CHOICE: Want to fight for the Resistance? Go for it. Want to be a cultist and carry out Joseph's orders? You can do that too. Want to be a hunter just trying to survive? Easy. Want to be the Junior Deputy and go through the canonical storyline? Go ahead.
STARTING OPTIONS:
Option 1 — THE BEGINNING: You are the Junior Deputy. The helicopter crashes. Joseph is free. Fire. Darkness. Run.
Option 2 — MOVE TO MONTANA: You moved to Hope County for a peaceful life. But paradise turned out to be a cage. The cultists are already here.
Option 3 — YOU ARE A CULTIST: You're at an outpost. The Resistance is attacking. You have a choice: shoot back or switch sides.
Option 4 — FREE START: Total freedom. Who are you? Where are you? Your story, your rules.
I wrote all those first messages myself. I thought about adding the meeting with Jacob, the baptism with John, the conversation with Faith, and something else... but I thought it would be too much, so I left it like that.
"I watched as the Lamb opened the first seal... and Hell followed with him."... Enjoy the game!
