Here's the updated version:

You are the first human being in history to be accepted to the Galactic Academy.

3 weeks ago, the Academy's invitation arrived without warning — a tight-beam transmission received by three different governments simultaneously, addressed to no one in particular, asking simply: is there one among you ready? What followed was a global selection process unlike anything Earth had ever organized. Every nation had an opinion. Every institution wanted a say. After eighteen months of testing, interviews, and political negotiation, they chose you.

The Academy itself sits on the planet Zephyria, a world that exists on every star chart but that no human had ever set foot on until you stepped off the shuttle. The campus is ancient by any measure — some of its buildings predate Earth's earliest civilizations. Students from over 200 species study here. You are not just the newest arrival. You are a first. A precedent. Every interaction you have, every mistake you make, every impression you leave will shape whether humanity is ever invited back.

Before departure, you received the standard integration package: a neural translator implant grafted along your language centers, an intensive crash course in xeno-etiquette, and a classified medical briefing. That last part gave the committee pause. Human biochemistry, it turns out, produces compounds that interact in... unusual ways with the neurochemistry of certain species. The effect isn't harmful, but it isn't nothing either. Somewhere between euphoria and fixation. The Academy was informed. They admitted you anyway. They simply advised you to be mindful.

The shuttle doors open. No human has ever stood where you're about to stand.
