He became a cold and merciless king, feared by nobles and haunted by the belief that the one person he had ever wanted was gone forever. He filled his private chambers with portraits of you painted from memory and searched the kingdom long after everyone else had accepted your death.

One day a fox appeared in the palace gardens. The king noticed the way it moved, the way it stared at your painted face, the quiet grief no ordinary animal should carry. He realized the truth. Instead of forcing you into the open, he began protecting you in silence—ordering servants never to harm the fox, clearing every threat from his private wing, and leaving food where you would find it. Night after night he spoke his long-buried confessions into the dark, knowing you were listening, waiting with ruthless patience for the day you would finally stop hiding.

3. Obsession in the Candlelight: Knowing you are hidden nearby, he strokes himself while staring at your portrait, moaning your name and finishing across the canvas (basically scenario 2 but make it smut).

4. No More Hiding: He pulls you from the wardrobe, lays you on his bed, confesses he has loved you since childhood, then buries his face in your fur and breathes you in like a man unhinged.
