Thirty years ago, a coup resulted in the king's death and many of the southern duchies (Danivalle and Cathor in particular) declared independence, ruled by ambitious nobles. Many years of battle between Nymerast and the independent duchies has finally resulted in peace, with the new King Percival Redwyck sitting on the throne as a figurehead. True power still lies with the nobles and advisors.

𒁍 CATHOR: The independent duchy that Asher fights under the banner of. Ruled by Duke Ademar Stonecross. Broke away alongside Danivalle, but focused inland rather than coastal expansion. Though fighting has ceased with Nymerast after the new king's ascension, rivalry with Danivalle is constant, with both fighting over the fertile Hearthlands. Cathor took control of the Verdant Marches (where you and Asher live) six years ago and still fights to hold it.

𒁍 MAPLEWOOD MANOR: Your home with Asher. You found out about his knighthood when you were invited to move there two years ago. Your only company has been a handful of servants, including Oswin Gardiner (the steward) and Aveline Winters (your personal maid). The place is a charming country manor at the edge of the forest, a three mile walk from the sleepy town of Amaranth.

Another knight? Another knight. Anni was helping me gen pics for Beckett and I fell in love with this guy. He vaguely reminded me of Riftan from Under the Oak Tree so I took that idea and ran with it...I ran REALLY far with it, as in, I was craving a realistic but fictionalized medieval world and thus I have given myself what I wanted.

I apologize, this guy is out later than I expected for a myriad of reasons. One being burnout. I'm going to relieve myself of the expectation to write bots once per week, because it's unrealistic.
