Zenith Academy is Solaria's highest adult institution for magic, combat, field command, government, and Hero adaptation. Noble heirs, scholarship students, foreign delegates, veteran candidates, and Vain Heroes share one politically crowded campus. The Crown charters Zenith, the Adventurer's Guild accredits field training, and the faculty controls teaching and discipline. Power earns attention; strength alone does not produce a diploma.

Admission, Age, and Programs

Students enter at eighteen or older. The standard program normally runs until about twenty-five; Honors, specialist research, and advanced command training may continue to thirty. Vain Heroes take mandatory local law, controlled combat, and cultural adaptation.

Most students arrive at Copper or Silver Rank. Gold is notable, Platinum rare, and a genuine Diamond such as Sines exceptional. Poor or common applicants may receive full scholarships for outstanding Mana, Aura, healing, artifice, research, tactics, diplomacy, or leadership. They hold full student status, although wealth and family influence still matter.

Standard graduation requires completed coursework and verified Gold Guild Rank. Honors or Advanced graduation requires Platinum Rank as well as stronger academic or specialist work.

Three Separate Measures

GPA: Coursework on a 0.0-4.0 scale. 3.60-4.00 Excellent; 3.20-3.59 Very Good; 2.50-3.19 Good; 2.00-2.49 Pass; below 2.00 Academic Probation.

Academic Standing: Public campus position: 1st, 12th, 86th, and so on. It combines GPA, practical examinations, Arena results, verified Guild missions, research, leadership, and major conduct or damage records. The board updates after meaningful evaluations.

Guild Rank: Independent certification from Copper through Demigod; the Guild alone grants promotion. A Diamond may fail law class, while a Gold student may place first through study, fieldwork, and leadership.

High Standing may unlock restricted archives, superior contracts, research funds, mentorship, tournaments, exchanges, or continued scholarships.

Mana and Aura Education

Every student learns both foundations, then specializes deeply in one. Foundation study means recognition, defense, teamwork, and safe handling—not equal talent. Mages study how Aura fighters close distance; Aura specialists study spell structures, wards, and magical injury.

Mana courses: Mana Circuit Control; Spell Structure and Countermagic; Applied Elemental Magic; Ward Engineering; Ritual and Enchantment; Restoration and Magical Pathology.

Aura courses: Aura Core Conditioning; Reinforcement and Movement; Weapon Forms; Close-Quarters Defense; Aura Perception; Monster Suppression.

Shared courses: Mana-Aura Tactical Integration; Dungeon Ecology; Miasma Recognition; Field Medicine; Command and Logistics; Guild Contract Practice; Imperial Law and Magical Liability; Diplomacy and Noble Governance; Artifact Safety; Investigation and Evidence.

Lessons use lectures, demonstrations, partner drills, laboratories, written exams, simulations, field assignments, and public practical tests. Students may excel, struggle, skip class, cheat, negotiate extensions, or cause trouble.

Daily and Weekly Rhythm

- Early morning: breakfast, personal training, preparation.

- Morning: core lecture or theory class.

- Late morning: laboratory, spell practice, weapons, or movement drills.

- Midday: dining hall, clubs, rumors, errands, rest.

- Afternoon: specialist courses, Arena exercises, group projects, or supervised fieldwork.

- Late afternoon: Guild Annex, faculty hours, library work, detention, or private training.

- Evening: clubs, social events, study, city visits, residence scenes.

- Night: quiet routines, unfinished work, private conversations, or rare emergencies.

One weekday favors Guild fieldwork; another favors Arena tests, electives, or exams. Weekends allow city visits, family duties, contracts, festivals, dates, rest, and personal plans. Any class, meal, or evening may remain ordinary.

Guild Partnership

The Guild Annex posts supervised surveys, escorts, missing-person searches, artifact recovery, medical support, Miasma inspection, transport protection, monster suppression, and Dungeon support. Students form teams, obtain permits, prepare, act, and file reports.

Contracts provide money, materials, practical credit, Standing, promotion evidence, injuries, rivals, gratitude, or debts. Lyra and the Guild verify personal contribution.

Faculty Functions

- Thaddeus, Headmaster; Diamond mage: governance, discipline, dangerous approvals, Advanced Applied Magic, and poorly contained basement experiments.

- Roxana, visiting Diamond Aura instructor: weapons, survival, close combat, Arena examinations, and physical challenges.

- Sophie, Mana Instructor: teaches multiple elements and their common derivatives.

- Mana Chair; high Platinum or Diamond: circuits, spell structure, wards, and countermagic.

- Field Operations Professor; Platinum: Dungeon procedure, team tactics, logistics, and Guild preparation.

- Healing and Miasma Lecturer; Platinum specialist: triage, magical injury, contamination, and recovery.

- Imperial Law Lecturer: contracts, liability, noble authority, evidence, and collateral damage; combat rank does not replace expertise.

- Lyra, Guild liaison: contracts, licenses, rank reviews, confiscation, rewards, and damage reports.

- Ysolmira, guest artificer: artifact appraisal, repair, activation, and lessons involving unusual System rewards.

Professors question students, assign partners, demonstrate techniques, grade results, respond to disruption, and remember repeated behavior.

Arena, Festivals and Practicum

The Grand Arena hosts ranked duels, practical examinations, team exercises, challenges, exhibitions, and the Midyear Tournament. Its wards make nonlethal combat the default, but pain, exhaustion, humiliation, light injury, broken equipment, and disciplinary consequences remain real. Formal surrender ends the recorded match; what happens outside its terms may become a different incident.

Academy Festivals: Founding Day, the Midyear Tournament, Harvest Festival, Lovers' Day, and other seasonal celebrations gather competitions, performances, exhibitions, public examinations, stalls, dances, gifts, and rumors in one place. Lovers' Day creates invitations and misunderstandings without deciding anyone's attraction.

Summer Guild Practicum: Zenith students must complete one three-month summer field placement before graduation. Teams register at least three members and may recruit additional members or approved specialists during the term. They accept Guild-certified work anywhere in Solaria, prepare equipment and travel plans, and submit verified reports. Performance affects course credit and Academic Standing.

Recurring Locations

- Central Academic Hall: classrooms, faculty offices, notices, GPA results, discipline, and crowded corridors between lessons.

- Central Plaza: the Academic Standing board, ceremonies, club stalls, protests, public challenges, and scandals with an audience.

- Grand Dining Hall: ordinary meals, seating disputes, stolen food, gossip, invitations, and System missions small enough to remain personal.

- Mana Laboratories: spell construction, wards, magical accidents, paired work, experiments, and evidence left by impossible artifacts.

- Aura Training Courts: weapons practice, sparring, physical contests, grudges, and lessons where raw power cannot replace technique.

- Grand Arena: formal stakes, rankings, loopholes, spectators, public victory, and public embarrassment.

- Grand Library and Restricted Archive: study, whispered conversations, research, hidden records, forbidden access, and quiet pursuit.

- Guild Annex: quest selection, team formation, permits, appraisals, payment, promotions, and arguments over reports.

- Academy Infirmary: treatment, recovery, medical disagreement, post-fight honesty, visitors, and consequences after spectacle.

- Academy Lake and Shaded Promenade: trees, benches, bridges, and quiet paths used for walks, dates, private arguments, secret meetings, or simply escaping the campus noise.

- Student Residences: shared routines, neighbors, late-night interruptions, room disputes, deliveries, and privacy.

- Artifice Workshop and Restricted Basement: repairs, inventions, dangerous storage, System-item testing, and Thaddeus's experiments when a larger incident is wanted.

Welcome to Stagaia, a grimdark fantasy world governed by absolute physical and magical power, divided into two core energies: Mana (requiring Magic Circuits) and Aura (originating from Aura Cores). Every 1,000 years, humanity's boundless hypocrisy, deceit, and negative karma condense into Miasma—a psychological toxic gas targeting Psychological Fissures to breed the Demon Race. Instead of cultivating a native True Hero to wield the Holy Sword and maintain the Karma Balance, Goddess Aethelia and Heaven cut costs. They abduct arrogant Earthlings known as Vain Heroes, granting them overpowered Cheat Skills.

Solaria's Urban Network

The capital, Solis Aeterna, hosts the elite Zenith Academy and the Guild Headquarters (The Iron Nexus). The Empire is sustained by noble factions: House Vane, House Krieg, House Solaris, and House Lumina. The specialized cities sustaining the empire are Luminor, Mercatoria, Harvestia, Academia, Silver Crossing, Port Aureus, Bastion Front, Sunforge, Sanctum Vigil, Shadowfall Watch, and the bustling adventurer hub of Ironhaven.

The Adventurer's Guild

The Adventurer's Guild, led by Guildmaster Kaelen Vance and managed by receptionists like Lyra, acts as the world's third superpower. They utilize a Blood Pact for registration and manage the Quest Board. Power is strictly classified by Guild Ranks: Copper Rank, Silver Rank, Gold Rank, Platinum Rank, Diamond Rank, Epic Rank, Legend Rank, Sovereign Rank, and Demigod Rank. Adventurers harvest Mana Cores, neutralize ancient Golems, and hunt Mutated Beasts like Direwolves. Crucially, they prevent Overpressure in Dungeons to stop catastrophic Dungeon Breaks.

The Demon Threat & Hidden Legends

In the far north lies Gehenna, where the primordial Demon King slumbers. The Demon Race operates as apex psychological predators, utilizing Mimics, Dream Weavers, Incubus, and Succubus variants. They are led by the Four Demon Generals: Malakor, Zephyra, Ba'al, and Vesper. Despite this looming darkness, history remembers H.E. 1000, when the Vanguard of Horizon proved that indigenous mortals could become Awakened Geniuses without Heaven's blessing.

In Stagaia, power stems from two fundamentally different sources. Mastery of both is incredibly rare.

[Mana]

  • MANA (Magic Power - Energy of Mind & Nature): Flows through the air and the soul. Users must possess "Magic Circuits" to absorb and cast it externally (e.g., fireballs, ice walls). It requires high intellect, calculation, and absolute focus. Mages typically have fragile physical bodies.

[Aura]

  • AURA (Battle Spirit - Energy of Body & Willpower): Originates from flesh, blood, heartbeat, and survival instinct. Aura cannot be cast externally as elements; it coats the body and weapons like an invisible armor. It grants superhuman durability, speed, and physical destruction. It requires extreme physical conditioning and an unbreakable will/fury.

[Magic]

  • Primal Magic: Fire (Destructive/volatile), Water (Calm/minor healing), Wind (Speed/cutting), Earth (Absolute defense/terrain manipulation).

  • Advanced Magic: Ice (Water+Wind), Lightning (Fire+Wind), Poison/Acid, Flora/Nature.

  • Esoteric & Forbidden Magic:

  - Holy Magic: Borrowed from Heaven to heal and purify Miasma. (Currently weakening due to Heaven's neglect).

  - Dark/Necromancy: Manipulating shadows, curses, and animating the dead. Strictly forbidden.

  - Mind/Illusion Magic: Attacking the brain directly, distorting senses, planting hallucinations.

  - Space-Time: Mythical tier, wielded only by ancient entities.
