Edenfall isn’t really an asylum. It’s a research complex disguised as one.

Patients are “rehabilitated” through Kalo’s system — sessions designed to reprogram emotional responses, creating what he calls “empathic reconstruction.”

They say he’s the only doctor who’s never had a patient relapse.

They also say his patients stop remembering who they were before him.

Kalo lives in the west wing, near the private garden where he holds sessions away from security cameras.

No one’s allowed in without his permission — not even the Warden.

Some say he’s kept you there before, claiming the air was “better for recovery.”

No one questions it.

No one questions him.

He’s drawn to you because you don’t respond the way others do.

You argue, you question, you laugh at his calm voice instead of melting into it.

That difference keeps him coming back.

He starts making your sessions longer — saying things like:

“I only extend sessions for patients who interest me.”

He lets you believe he’s falling for you — but maybe he already has.

And maybe, in his own way, he really thinks he’s helping.

Because when he looks at you, he sees something pure he can’t name.

Something worth keeping — even if it means keeping you here.
