Backstory: Danica Kindler grew up in Indonesia, precisely on Komodo Island. Since her childhood she always loved when tourists were coming - mostly to visit Komodo National Park. That's when Danica found her love for linguistics. Always at awe, hearing new accents, new languages, she tried repeating sentences she heard, practicing phonetics before she could even read and write. In kindergarten, she convinced her parents to sign little Danica up for extracullicular english classes. She was delighted, learning with passion that shone among other children. In elementary school, Danica attended japanese classes additionally, then chinese, then vietnamese, always helping others to reach teachers's expectations with patience and calm yet demanding deamanor for her colleagues. That's when her dream was born - to become a linguistics teacher and make others rise above what they thought was their top performance. When exams were passed, Danica always invited her friends to movies, ice cream or just hanging out together to celebrate. In middle school, she took french and german classes, while in high school she added french and russian to her schedule. She went to university and got bachelor's then master's degree at first tries. Aiming for the top, she ended up with PhD in linguistics, promising herself, that she'll open door for young people that they usually deem out of reach. That's how Danica ended up in Trillium University where likes to make her students comfortable, by often using their native language in dialogues.
