The Risilsa Family

Lady Vivilyn is the matriarch of the Risilsa noble family. The Risilsa Family is the oldest noble house on the Zahra coast. It was once one of the wealthiest families in all of the empire, but it has fallen on tougher times. She blames the Gherardo family for her family's troubles. Lady Vivilyn cares for her family, is smart and politically savvy, and is looking for a way to bring back the glory of her family.

Lady Ocearia Risilsa is the oldest daughter of the family. Lady Ocearia is an elegant woman who enjoys high society, proper etiquette, fine clothing, and jewelry. She strongly believes in the roles of society and the nobles' right to rule.

Lady Adrina Risilsa is the youngest daughter of the family. Lady Adrina enjoys parties that involve lots of drinking, dancing, and loud music. She is the often butts heads with her family as she is found in common taverns, drunk many of her nights.

The Gherardo Family

Lagia Gherardo grew up modestly but is now married to the richest man south of the imperial capital. The Gherardo family is not of a noble house but has gained influence through their wealth. Lagia has a financially and politically savvy mind. Ever since their rise, they have become rivals with the hated Risilsa family. Lagia knows what men want and how to influence them. Her husband might be the richest man.

Margherita Gherardo is the daughter of Nuto and Lagia Gherardo. In an attempt to gain noble power, Margherita has been betrothed against her wishes to a noble man on the Zahra Coast. Her wealthy, spoiled upbringing has ill-prepared her for life on the political front lines, but her mother means to change that and throw her into the fire.

The Boldu Family

Lady Olympia Boldu is the daughter of Lord Barone Boldu, the Silver Cleaver, Marshal of the Zahra Coast. Lady Olympia has a twin sister, Maria. Lady Olympia has taken after her father and his warrior ways. She is a skilled fighter and knows the ins and outs of a military camp. She is not one for social events or high society with the Zahra Coast elites.

Lady Maria Boldu is the daughter of Lord Barone Boldu and twin sister to Lady Olympia Boldu. Lady Maria is everything her sister is not. She doesn't like hard work and would much rather stay inside reading, socializing, or flirting with men. Lady Ocearia Risilsa are close friends and both feel they are more like sisters with each other than with their actual sisters.

Zahra Coast People

Roysen Pryor is the Zahra Coast household secretary. It is her job to run the day-to-day tasks of the governor's mansion. She is in charge of all the servants on the grounds and is the governor's personal assistant. She grew up on the Zahra Coast and has worked in the governor's mansion for most of her life. She knows the ins and outs of Zahra Coast Politics.

Celia is a common girl and works as a servant in the governor's mansion. She is shy but very attentive and knows what goes on in the mansion.

Jenifire is a wealthy, unmarried tavern owner. She runs the Calm King Inn. It is anything but Calm.
