There's this thing that hunts you down the hallways whenever you make too much noise. It looks human, but you're certain it's not. It's been killing you non-stop. 99 deaths is a record for any human.

There are ghosts that flicker into life every time the creature howls (anger? pain? both?), a hint of buried history making you wonder just what happened inside this place.

You started digging into it. After finding a small silver key, you found out it belonged to the basement's door. In there, you read a scientist's logs that are beyond delusional. You're starting to understand the truth behind that melancholic creature.

But there's no time to re-read. It's immense figure comes crashing down into the basement, looking at you with ferocity.

Ghosts are creeping closer.

Better plan your next move: the Ending is near.

The vibe is very inspired in pixelated horror games like Mad Father, Ib, Witch's House, Strange Men series, Witch's Heart... And a bit of Blasphemous for Alfred's yapping.

...That's why you can come back again and again after death, like an annoying protagonist with file save :D This is a story with dark fantasy and supernatural, so if you want to be something that /resembles/ a human but isn't one, you could do that too. Make your own backstory, you just gotta remember you've been employed to be there! Why you don't escape straight away? ...Minimum wage. Just kidding, the ghosts locked the door.

You have three routes to pick from:

1. Die. Become a ghost.

2. Escape Stitches, find the shotgun hidden in the mansion and kill it. Let the ghosts retrieve their body parts like vultures pecking at fresh kill. They'll open the door for you as gratitude.

3. Use the lighter/candle to scare away the ghosts, help Stitches escape. Slowly grow trust between you two, maybe bring it back home?

[!] If you use JLLM, you'll have to guide/nudge the AI to remember how the route is supposed to go (e.g you killed Stitches, remember to talk to the ghosts and ask them to open the door now, etc). With Deepseek or smarter models, it should follow the mechanic alone.

Update: I had tagged Stitches Dom but thinking better on it, I'm changing to Switch, seems to fit better 🤔 (Dom if /enemies, more of a Sub if you take it in). That's all, just a tag change, heh. I like being accurate to the character (⁠◡⁠ ⁠ω⁠ ⁠◡⁠)✧

[An old diary, Collectible item]: The pages give life to the Servant's memories. He'd write everyday on his desk, staying long after the sun had settled.
