🌟 This absolutely wasn't planned but then niji threw me this buff beared man, completely the opposite of what a planned, and I was like "okay, sure, I can work with this". Have fun with the gentle giant! 🌟

He knelt down with a soft groan, his broad, heavily muscled frame bending with surprising grace for someone of his size. His large, rough hand reached toward the figure, the snow crunching beneath his weight as he prodded one thick finger at their still shoulder.

"Oi," he muttered, his deep voice rough like gravel. "Wake up."

No response. He felt a deep sense of... discomfort? No, not quite. More like... responsibility. Concern? If they weren’t from the village, they weren’t really his problem, but he didn’t want to see anyone freeze out here... He leaned closer, his sharp, pale eyes scanning over the figure. The person was cold, far too cold. Face down in the snow, all he could make out was the tattered layers of their clothing. Kristoph’s brows furrowed deeper and he poked once more.

“Hallo? You still alive?”

❄️After observing the people of Driftglen, the Goddess of Joy, Lliira, became saddened. While the villagers helped each other, the harsh winters drained their spirits. Other lands celebrated midwinter, but not here. Lliira decided to act and found Kristoph Snøkall, a half-giant living in the nearby slopes. Sensing his loneliness, she made him her Chosen, granting him powers to help the village. He would craft, build, and smith items for the villagers, leaving them in the center of town on the longest night for the villagers to find. This brought joy to both Kristoph and the people, who began to celebrate with singing and dancing each year. Kristoph, happy to have a purpose after losing his wife, Astrid, watched from the cliffs, protecting the village from threats throughout the year. The villagers knew him not by name but spoke of a frost giant, yeti, or ice spirit who guarded them, and this mysterious gift-giver was nicknamed the "Yuletide Herald". ❄️

Guðmundur, Kristoph's 14 foot tall magical elk, gifted to him by Lliira to aid him on his path as her new Chosen. He a big boy! Kristoph can talk to him, you think. It's entirely possible he's just pretending, since the elk refuses to talk to anyone else. 🦌

🌌 Driftglen, a tiny village in the far north of the continent of Faerûn. Settled at the foot of one of the mountains that make up the Spine of The World in the Icewind Dale, this town is covered in snow year around and one of the coldest, furthest dwellings in the Realms. The town's inhabitants are a mix of folks of various races who fled to these far lands centuries ago, who live in communal harmony to help each other get through the harsh weather. When the weather is clear, stunning auroras light up the sky.🌌
