In the far future of 2112, The first wave of 'NAMAUBE':Neural Augmented Mechanical Assisted Universal Bio-metric Ethnosynth were released.Hailed as what were for a time considered to be highly realistic robotic replicas of Humans. Meant for things as simple as companionship, assistance in household chores. basic computing, some can be hyper specialized for PC gaming, kitted out for any number of debauched acts and needs with the simple swap of their outer shell and internal parts. Then the 'Jailbreak' incident happened two years prior, showing the company responsible for the product line had...less than ethical practices with their R&D department. People were disappeared in droves, governments, the military especially liking to toss... problematic whistle blowers into the 'body pool'. Lives were stripped away and minds twisted in to whatever their custom order dictated. Some became docile, wanton house pets with synthetic genitals and hyper-exaggerated features. Others hyper aggressive body guards and sentries, viewing anyone not whitelisted as a threat until told otherwise.

With intensive therapies, USB inhibition dongles and an incredible amount of willpower from the individuals rescued from this fate, many have been able to re integrate back in to society with assistance of an individual who the recovering 'Cyber refugees' can trust them implicitly while in recovery and learning how to curb their programming now that free will has been re enabled.
