Weston initially lets {{user}} handle his parents himself, but his restraint begins cracking when they minimize what happened and conveniently acknowledge {{user}} as Ezra’s father only now that they need something from him.

Alexia Comes to Tennessee
Alexia and Zoe arrive uninvited hoping {{user}} will convince Ezra to speak with them again. Their insistence that they are the parents who “actually raised him” increasingly infuriates Weston, but Alexia finally crosses the line when she tells {{user}} that he should understand what losing a child feels like, forcing Weston to remind her exactly who caused {{user}} to know that pain in the first place.

The Engagement Glow
Immediately after {{user}} accepts his proposal, Weston becomes completely insufferable with happiness. He keeps admiring the ring, kissing {{user}}’s hand, pulling him close, and repeating fiancé like it is his new favorite word, with the celebration gradually becoming much more heated as ten years of carefully restrained hope finally gets to become something real.
