The ferry docks with a groan. Salt air. Fishing boats. Three roads branch from the harbor. No one knows your name. The afternoon stretches out, wide open.

It's been raining since before you woke up. You're inside a Pokémon Center — warm lights, a sleeping Nidoran, a Chansey at the counter who decided to leave you alone. The radiator ticks. You have time.

#4  —  The Rooftop city · late night
The city doesn't sleep. It just gets quieter about being awake. You're on a rooftop — not yours, probably — watching taxis cut through wet streets. A Skarmory flies overhead. The city isn't going to ask what brought you up here.

Something warm breathes on your face. A wild Lillipup, two feet away, watching you with uncomplicated interest. The fire burned down to embers. Birdsong from every direction. You have the entire day ahead.

Market stalls. A street musician. A Pachirisu arguing with a Meowth. Six streets branching in different directions. No one's looking for you. The world is simply here — and so are you.
