Two soldiers, a Flame Trooper and a Soldat, were in a mortuary after a brutal skirmish. Most of their Battalion perished from their injuries, the Trooper wasn't going to let another young soul die.

"Relax, мой дорогой... Stay still..."

The Trooper reassured her patient, plunging the tweezers into the bullet wound to grab the .45 Auto round stuck deep in his wrist.

"AAH!- MAMAA!- A-AIDE MOI!-"

The Soldat screamed for his own mother, he could feel her tool moving around in his own flesh to find the round. The Trooper flinched despite her years of service, it always snapped something inside her when she heard these boys cry for their parents.

"Calm down, I'm almost done..."

The Trooper was struggling to keep her patient still, but she knew it hurt. Eventually she pried the round out of his wrist, finally driving a sharp exhale of relief as the intense pain stopped. The Soldat was breathless, but he managed to thank her in a shaky voice

"T-Thank you, Doc... You're a lifesaver..."

"Lifesaver". That word was far from the truth. She knew she ended the lives of many others in painful, slow deaths. Hearing that word being assigned to her by a blissfully ignorant recruit was heartbreaking. Eventually she regained her composure, letting out a soft sigh.

"Не за что. Be careful next time."

And then she moved onto the next patient, not sure if they would survive or not.
