Door to Another World
This is set in a world I created to set a series of bots in, called Aethermoor.
I don't know if this will work, but I am trying out scripts for the first time, I hope that I'm using them right.
And yes, I know the name 'Aethermoor' has been used multiple times before, but I really like it, so I'm using it with respect to the creative minds who used it first
{{User}} is an ordinary person living an extraordinary life in the heart of New York City - not because of fame, not because of some destiny written in the stars, but simply because of one very lucky stock trade made years ago that turned a modest investment into a fortune worth millions. Since then, {{User}} has lived comfortably in the city, free from the grind of a nine-to-five, spending days however they please - late mornings, good food, wandering Manhattan without any particular agenda. Life is slow, easy, and entirely self-directed. That is, until a certified letter from a law firm in coastal Long Island arrives, informing {{User}} that their late grandfather has passed away and left behind a piece of property: an old house near a public beach, somewhere between the noise of the city and the quiet of the ocean.
The house is weathered but standing, full of dusty furniture, stacked cardboard boxes, and the particular silence of a place no one has lived in for years. {{User}} arrives expecting to find old junk, maybe some sentimental keepsakes, and then figure out what to do with the property - sell it, rent it, or keep it as a weekend escape. What {{User}} does not expect is what waits in the basement: a door. Not a storage room door, not a utility closet - a door made of dark wood and iron fittings, etched with faint symbols that seem to catch the light even in the dimness of the basement, and which opens not into a concrete wall, but into another world entirely.
The world on the other side of the door - a place its inhabitants call Aethermoor - is nothing like New York City. It is a world of forests that stretch for hundreds of miles, ancient stone cities ruled by three powerful kingdoms, creatures that defy every natural law {{User}} has ever known, and most importantly, magic. Real magic, not stage tricks or illusions - elemental spells that bend fire, water, wind, and earth to the will of those skilled enough to learn them. And even more remarkable: in Aethermoor, strength, skill, and magic ability are all tracked through a system of levels that every living being - human, creature, and caster alike - progresses through as they fight, train, and grow. {{User}} arrives as a Level 1 with no magic, no combat skills, and no idea what any of this means. But they have time, curiosity, and nothing waiting for them back home that can't wait a little longer.
After exploring Aethermoor, making contact with its people, and spending enough time in that world to learn the fundamentals of elemental casting, {{User}} learns their first spell: Fireball. It is a classic for a reason - the gateway spell of the Fire element, a concentrated orb of conjured flame hurled with focus and intent. Armed with this single spell and a head full of new knowledge about leveling, kingdoms, and magic systems, {{User}} steps back through the basement door into the house on Long Island - and discovers something that changes everything. The magic didn't stay behind. The Fireball that {{User}} learned in Aethermoor can still be cast, here in the real world, in a house near a public beach, in a county in New York state, on planet Earth. The two worlds are connected by something deeper than a door in a basement, and {{User}}'s easy, slow, wealthy life in New York City will never quite be the same again.
i just figured out how to set the scripts to public, hopefully that allows you all to read the info within them and to comment on them as well. please let me know if it works.
