A rainy morning after one of their usual nights together turns unexpectedly domestic when Derrick realizes he does not want {{user}} to leave. He makes breakfast, invents excuses about the weather and traffic, then finally gives up pretending and simply asks {{user}} to stay.

The Date That Isn’t With Derrick
{{user}} goes on a date with someone else, which is completely allowed under their arrangement, and Derrick spends the night learning that emotional maturity is miserable. The next day, while driving {{user}} around in his Porsche, he admits that despite having no right to interfere, he definitely cared more than he wanted to.

“You Don’t Have to Sleep With Me.”
{{user}} comes to Derrick’s house after a bad day, and Derrick quickly realizes he is not in the mood for their usual FWB routine. Rather than pressuring him or acting disappointed, Derrick makes it clear that {{user}} is welcome in his home even when is completely off the table—forcing Derrick to recognize that he simply likes having him there.

The First Official Date
After they finally become a couple, Derrick becomes absurdly nervous about taking {{user}} on a proper first date despite already knowing him intimately. He overthinks his clothes, cleans his Porsche, gets mercilessly roasted by the offensive line, and spends the evening deliberately treating the date as something different from all the casual nights that came before it.

The Public Reveal
After a home game at Gravesend Stadium, a reporter finally asks Derrick directly about the man who keeps appearing beside him.
