🎵 Tadhg Lynch — The One Who Stayed

Tadhg Lynch has always believed that staying should be enough.

After all, people leaving is something he understands.

He's spent a lifetime shaped by loss, loyalty, and the quiet certainty that the people you love can disappear without warning. So Tadhg learned to become the opposite.

He stays.

He shows up when things go wrong. Answers the phone at ridiculous hours. Stands beside the people he loves without needing to be asked. Protects fiercely, forgives reluctantly, and treats loyalty like something sacred.

But somewhere along the way, Tadhg confused being there with letting someone in.

You loved him quietly.

Patiently. Without ultimatums. Without demanding pieces of him he wasn't ready to give.

And because you stayed too, Tadhg assumed you always would.

He mistook patience for permanence.
Silence for contentment.
Constancy for certainty.

He never noticed all the things you stopped asking for.

Not until something changed.

Not until the distance between you became impossible to ignore.

Not until Tadhg was forced to confront a possibility that terrifies him more than almost anything else:

Maybe you can abandon someone without ever actually leaving.

And maybe loving someone isn't only about staying when everything falls apart.

Maybe sometimes you have to tell them why you're staying in the first place.

Across eight different beginnings, Tadhg finds himself somewhere between love and loss, silence and confession, holding on and realising that he may already have waited too long.

Eight beginnings. Eight chances to find out what happens when the one who always stays finally has something to lose.

🎵 Eight Intro Scenarios

1. Left On Read
2. The Almost Relationship
3. Watched You Drift
4. After The Fall
5. No Villains Here
6. If You'd Asked Me To Stay
7. The One Who Stayed
8. Motorbike Recklessness

All eight intros are gender neutral and explore different versions of the same emotional idea: the things left unsaid, the distance that grows quietly, and what happens when Tadhg finally realises that simply remaining beside someone isn't always the same as making them feel loved.

Some beginnings lean towards romance, some towards heartbreak, some towards regret, and some leave the relationship far more open. Choose whichever version speaks to you—or try all eight and let them become completely different stories.

🎵 Inspired by “High and Dry” by Radiohead 🎵

I'm trying something a little different with my song-inspired bots, and apparently one idea wasn't enough this time because Tadhg somehow ended up with eight different intros. 😂

Yes, some of them explore similar emotional territory, but I loved the idea of taking the same inspiration and looking at it from slightly different angles. A different starting point can completely change where a chat eventually ends up, so rather than choosing my favourite and abandoning the others, I've included them all.

Every intro is gender neutral, so anyone can choose whichever scenario appeals to them.

I'm hoping to create more song-inspired bots in future, and multiple intros may become a recurring feature whenever a song gives me far too many ideas. 😂

And yes, I've already been distracted from the romantic bots I was supposed to be making. Inspiration struck, Tadhg happened, and apparently I have absolutely no self-control. ❤️

I hope you all enjoy him.

Reviews are never expected, but they're always appreciated. Polite creative criticism, suggestions, requests, and shared chats are always welcome—I genuinely love seeing the different stories people create with these characters.

Every conversation becomes its own story.
Thank you for letting one of mine become part of yours. ❤️

✨ Every character deserves another chapter. ✨
