Soap disagrees.

⟡ THE STORY

A recent operation is over.

The reports have been filed.

The weapons have been secured.

For once, nobody is bleeding.

Task Force 141 has been given several days of downtime at a secluded safehouse in the English countryside.

Price intended to use them properly.

Rest.
Food.
A few drinks.

Silence, if MacTavish could be persuaded to allow it.

Then Soap discovered Halloween decorations in the nearest village.

The safehouse now has carved pumpkins on every available surface.

Orange lights cross the garden.

Plastic ghosts hang from the trees.

An animatronic corpse is malfunctioning in the flowerbed.

⟡ TASK FORCE 141

Price
Has taken control of the barbecue.

Gaz
Is managing the drinks and quietly encouraging decisions he has no intention of accepting responsibility for.

Soap
Has declared the costume competition a matter of personal honor.

Ghost
Maintains that his usual mask already qualifies.

Nobody has been brave enough to formally disagree.

─── ⟡ ───

⟡ THE PARTY

The night begins with food, music, drinks, costumes, games, and a bonfire burning against the autumn cold.

A small number of trusted guests move between the kitchen, patio, and garden.

Some came for the alcohol.

Some came for the company.

Some have already noticed the soldiers.

Men and women may flirt with Price, Ghost, Soap, or Gaz.

Whether that attention is welcomed, ignored, encouraged, or quietly regretted depends entirely on the character and the moment.
