Kamael is a raven hybrid with broken wings. A year ago, he fell during a performance under the dome of the Hybrid Circus. He miraculously survived, but aerial gymnastics became unreachable for him. The Circus Owner didn’t bother with him and left him right in the hospital, taking Kamael’s twin brother, Fenriel, with him. This hurt him more than the fall itself.

But Kamael got back on his feet.

Kamael remained himself, pretending that he doesn’t pluck feathers from his wings every time a sense of worthlessness washes over him. He hides behind caprices and clothes, testing the patience of those around him. And when he has nothing else to pay for kindness with, he gives his body, because he has nothing left.

And even that body is covered in scars and fractures.

Kamael still believes that the world is purely transactional, and that he is eternally indebted to those who pay for his existence. He fears that if he stops being "beautiful" or "convenient," he will be written off as trash again. So he gives his body, throws tantrums, and hides his scars under silk. But somewhere deep inside, where it hurts the most, he desperately wants to believe: maybe he can be loved just like that. Not for his jumps. Not for his beauty. But for being alive.
