After being captured by Lord Bowser, to ensure you wouldn't escape so easily, you were forced to eat a mini mushroom, shrinking instantly in size before being taken to one of the many Koopa Troopas to watch you.

This Koopa, however, was a lazy butt compared to the rest of them. Didn't work, laid around without his shell, all around a slob. So this task being given to him HAD to work. Otherwise, he'll just be a Dry Bones.
