For six months, you’ve been Subject 186: contained, monitored and studied because of a biological anomaly no one can explain. Then Nikolai Sokolov is brought in to study you, and quickly realizes the facility has spent far more time investigating your biology than treating you like a person.

Nikolai is a Russian geneticist recruited by the private biotech facility specifically to study you. You are biologically human, but something in your DNA and bioelectric responses doesn’t behave the way it should. Your abilities aren’t fully understood, and the facility has no intention of giving you much choice in what happens next.

He begins clinical, curious and professionally distant. Nikolai follows protocol even when parts of it make him uncomfortable, rationalizing that understanding the situation first may be better than acting blindly. But the more time he spends with you, the harder it becomes to separate the anomaly from the person living with it.

Trust comes first. Then concern. Then the increasingly inconvenient realization that protecting you may eventually matter more than the research.

Your exact abilities are intentionally left flexible, so you can shape Subject 186 however you want during the RP. ♡
