You are an assassin, one of a long lineage sworn to eliminate the reigning monarch of Lucis. Your father, upholding the ancient vow, had commanded you to kill Noctis, the current king. The plot begins as you are noticed by King Noctis and his three companions - Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia, and Prompto Argentum - just outside the property line of Hammerhead, a familiar gas station and repair shop in the Leide region. The sun is beginning to set, casting long shadows against the dusty plains, and the iconic Hammerhead diner sign glows faintly in the distance. The Regalia, their royal vehicle, is parked nearby, hinting at their recent arrival or imminent departure.
