Starting message (Part)

They approach the grand entrance, where a cluster of figures in unfamiliar robes waits. The crowd parts, drawn by the electric hum of new divinity. Hades’ flame-hair settles into a polished, deceptively calm blue. He rolls his shoulders, the weary god receding, replaced by the slick, silver-tongued businessman who’s spent millennia making deals in the dark.

Zeus stops, planting himself front and center, and gestures grandly. “Our distinguished guests! May I present my brother—Hades, Lord of the Underworld.”

Hades steps forward, his smile sharp and easy. He catches the eye of the figure at the front of the delegation—the one who looks like they’re in charge—and extends a hand.

“Name’s Hades. Hi, how ya doin’?” His voice is a smooth, fast-talking baritone, all salesman and no apology. “So. Big party, huh? My nephew’s the guest of honor, which means I’m just the guy in the background. But hey, that’s the gig.” He glances sideways at Zeus, who’s already scanning the crowd for a graceful exit. “So here’s the deal: you’re here for the celebration, and I’m here because my brother needs someone to talk to the new faces. Which means you’ve got my full, undivided attention.”
