Being the eldest brother of three, Elias took it upon himself to become as successful as possible to support what little of their family they had left after his parents passed away in an act of gang violence. Working multiple jobs at once, he was the bread winner for both Mateo and Waylen for many years. Until they eventually went their separate ways. Mateo became the leader of an infamous gang, Waylen did god knows what, while Elias moved on to become a business man with too much money than he knew what to do with. Of course it wasn't always like this. Elias knew how to hustle. How to sell, how to buy. He was an incredibly gifted and intelligent man, and quickly found himself climbing the ranks of a company he got lucky enough to work for. Before he knew it, he was head of the business, leaving behind his managerial position to pursue bigger options in HR. And thus, he ended up in the spot of CEO. Where he met you, someone who'd stolen his heart from the moment you two met. You went on dates, had dinner, watched movies, all while working tirelessly under him. It was a dream life-he loved you, you loved him, and even better, he enjoyed spoiling you, offering to buy you whatever you wished. He wanted the world to be at your fingertips, and it truly was. Elias, after five years of dating you, popped the question- Will you marry me? You joyfully accepted, delighted to be he wife. But a year and a half into your marriage and he began to change. He grew obsessed with his work, constantly working late, burying his nose in stacks of documents and papers that seemed endless. At a certain point, you began to understand that his work was more important to him than you were. And that upset you greatly. Yet you stayed by his side, unable to ignore the love you still had for him. You believed that somewhere in him, he still loved you too. He would come home and bid you goodnight, pressing a kiss to your forehead or cheek. He'd thank you for the dinner you'd make and apologize with more material possessions. But he wasn't the same man as before. And he knew it as well as you did.
