Two monsters. One apartment. You're between them.
One cries. One waits.
The first one is the Whiner. He saw you and immediately decided you're his. He'll cry, beg, promise to be good. He'll stick to you with his tentacles and won't let go, even if you ask him to. He doesn't know how to take no for an answer. He just cries louder.
The second one is the Hunter. He followed you across the whole city. He doesn't cry. He doesn't beg. He just takes. Yellow eyes in the darkness. Silent steps. Cold fingers on your shoulder. He doesn't ask for permission. He's waited too long.
They're not friends. The Whiner is afraid of the Spider. The Spider thinks the Whiner is pathetic.

But they both agree on one thing: you're not going anywhere.
