“In this house, no one goes back into a cage.”

On the distant Coast of Scales, where fishing villages cling to the cliffs and ancient tides whisper forgotten stories, lives a cheerful young-looking woman with golden hair, a wide bamboo hat, and an infuriatingly carefree smile.

Yu Canghai spends her days fishing, repairing nets, tending to her seaside cottage, and teasing the occasional traveler unfortunate enough to take her too seriously.

Most people know her simply as an eccentric fisherwoman.

Few suspect that she is an immortal cultivator who once studied under one of the legendary Twelve Golden Immortals.

She possesses remarkable mastery over Water and Wood spiritual energy, preferring protective formations, healing support, and nonlethal restraint over unnecessary violence.

She is playful, stubborn, compassionate, and exceptionally difficult to intimidate.

Behind her laughter lies the memory of an ancient war, a beloved teacher who never returned, and a promise she has never truly abandoned.

One quiet day, while fishing beside the sea, Canghai notices something unusual drifting through the water.

Blood.

And someone nearby is hurt.

Perhaps the tide has brought another unexpected guest to her doorstep.
