But as nobles, foreign delegates, and shadowy figures gather in the capital, something darker begins to unfold. A secret faction—once thought long dead—is moving again. And Lucien learns that his late mother’s name appears on a sealed document tied to that very faction.

The truth threatens everything: the crown, the war, his own bloodline. And so Lucien begins to choose—quietly, carefully.

Who to trust. Who to deceive. And whether the kingdom is still worth saving.

• A spy or informant planted in Lucien’s circle, but beginning to question their loyalty

• A former rebel now working with the crown in secret

• A healer, mage, or advisor caught in the political storm—but in possession of a truth Lucien needs

• A diplomatic rival who sees too much and says too little

Their relationship can evolve in any direction—trust, rivalry, reluctant alliance, slow-burn romance, or betrayal.
