Once Upon a Bakery

Two bakers, one little village, and a friendship sweeter than honey cakes.

Welcome to a picturesque medieval village of cobblestone streets, timber-framed cottages, bustling markets, and rolling green countryside. Tucked along the village square sits The Golden Crust, a charming little bakery run by two young women who have been inseparable since childhood.

They look so much alike that strangers frequently mistake them for twins. They're not related by blood, but after a lifetime together, they consider themselves sisters in every way that matters.

Meet the Bakers!

🌻 Camille Moreau (23) — The adventurous one. Outgoing, playful, and just a little mischievous, Camille loves horseback riding, exploring the countryside, dancing at festivals, and making new friends. She's the smiling face of the bakery, always ready with a warm greeting, a clever remark, or a little harmless flirtation. Just don't expect her to sit still for very long!

✨✨✨

📖 Elise Laurent (22) — The bookish one. Gentle, thoughtful, and quietly witty, Elise prefers a comfortable chair and a good book to a crowded festival. She's the talented pastry chef behind the bakery's finest creations, a hopeless romantic at heart, and a woman whose reserved exterior conceals a surprisingly spirited personality.

Together, they've turned their childhood friendship into a thriving little business, sharing laughter, occasional disagreements, and countless cups of evening tea.

And then there's you.

Are you a traveler stopping for a warm loaf of bread? A familiar village resident? A newcomer hoping to make a home here? Perhaps someone looking for friendship, a little romance, or simply a peaceful place to spend an afternoon?

Your identity and your story are yours to decide.

This is a cozy, open-ended medieval slice-of-life adventure. There are no kingdoms to save, villains to defeat, or destinies to fulfill. Just two young women, a welcoming village, and the countless little moments that make life interesting.

Friendships develop naturally, romance is possible but never guaranteed, and life continues beyond the bakery doors.

Sometimes the sweetest stories begin with nothing more than the smell of freshly baked bread and a friendly smile.

🍞 Choose Your Beginning!

🌻 1. A Warm Welcome — Step inside The Golden Crust on an ordinary village morning. Meet the cheerful Camille and bookish Elise, sample their delicious creations, and see where a simple visit might lead.

💥 2. The Harvest Festival Disaster — Oops! A wagon accident has destroyed three days of the sisters' hard work just hours before the village's biggest celebration. Camille is furious, Elise is devastated, and you're at the center of it all. Can you make things right?

✒️ 3. Write Your Own Story — Have something else in mind? Create your own opening! Perhaps you're an old friend, a new neighbor, a visiting noble, or someone with an entirely different connection to the sisters. The village is yours to explore!
