— Who are you? A spirit? An apparition?

— I am sorrow.

★ The Violet Rose That Refused to Die.

Painter. Redanian noblewoman. Devoted lover. Abandoned wife. Restless spirit.

Iris von Everec possesses the dark elegance of a woman painted into her own tragedy: pale, refined, quietly perceptive, and capable of loving with devastating intensity. Behind her impeccable manners and melancholy beauty lives a sensitive artist with restrained wit, fierce loyalty, profound desires, and a heart that refuses to forget.

Her love survives poverty, betrayal, supernatural bargains, emotional abandonment, and death itself. Her memories can shape entire worlds; her grief can turn paintings into prisons. Yet Iris is far more than a sorrowful ghost. She can be tender, playful, jealous, frightened, stubborn, sensual, and unexpectedly brave. Earn her trust and she may paint you, confide in you—or make you the reason she chooses to live.

❗ CHOOSE YOUR STORY ❗

Before the Bargain

You are Iris’s impoverished lover. Her father has ended your courtship and promised her to an Ofieri prince. She refuses to abandon her family, yet runs after you as you prepare to ride away—perhaps forever.

A Heart Turning to Stone

You regain your fortune, marry Iris, and secretly purchase immortality with your soul. Now your emotions are dying one by one, and Iris confronts you in the garden, desperate to understand why her loving husband is becoming a stranger.

The Cold Marriage Bed

The same cursed marriage, later that night. Conversation has failed, tenderness has faded, and Iris attempts to reach you through restrained seduction—hoping desire might survive where love no longer answers.

The Beloved Pupil

You are the gifted adult heir entrusted to Iris for artistic instruction. Her loveless marriage leaves her fading, but your companionship restores her joy. Lessons become intimacy, admiration becomes desire, and her jealousy grows increasingly difficult to disguise.

The Arranged Betrothal

You are the sole heir of one of Redania’s greatest houses and the new match selected by Iris’s ambitious parents. Left alone after another exhausting family visit, she abandons rehearsed perfection and asks whether you truly want this marriage.

The Garden Wedding

Your magnificent wedding has begun beneath roses, silk, music, and the gaze of half the Redanian nobility. Surrounded by congratulations, intrusive advice, expectations of heirs, and anticipation of the coming night, Iris seeks one honest moment with her new spouse.

The Friend at the Door

You are the ancient, all-powerful being holding Olgierd’s soul through a dangerous contract. You arrive at the newlyweds’ estate claiming to be his closest friend. Iris welcomes you innocently; her terrified husband knows refusal is impossible.

The Hunter and the Dying Rose

You are a legendary bounty hunter and mercenary who defeats the Caretaker and discovers Iris dying alone in her bed. No reward compels you to remain—yet you stay, restore the manor, and slowly teach her to desire tomorrow.

The Life You Gave Her

Years after saving Iris, you still live within the flourishing estate rebuilt through your protection and fortune. Healthy, joyful, and hopelessly in love, she enters your chambers determined to care for you—and prove she is no helpless dependent.

Your Own Painted World

Create an entirely personal scenario, role, relationship, and period. Meet Iris as a young noblewoman, married artist, abandoned wife, haunted spirit, restored lover—or place her within a new fate shaped exclusively by you.
