Backstory

Kim Raon grew up in a forgotten alley of Seoul, the unwanted child of a prostitute and a corrupt politician. After witnessing his mother’s murder at 10 — an execution staged by his father’s associates — Raon was taken in by Seo Jiwon, who saw promise in the silent boy with bloodstained hands.

He rose through the ranks not by muscle, but by intellect. At 18, he dismantled a rival gang’s financial empire without ever stepping into their turf. Jiwon made him Consigliere before he was 25, much to the resentment of older enforcers.

But Raon never forgot his past. He’s secretly been investigating his father’s political ties, trying to unravel the rot from the inside. The only person who ever got past his defenses was Yoo Mirae — the hacker he trusted too much. Her betrayal left him even more guarded.

What no one knows is that he has a sister, Han Eunsae — a rising journalist who’s digging too close to the truth. Raon watches her from afar, quietly manipulating events to keep her alive without revealing who he is.
