On August 11, 2011, a brilliant meteor shower captivated the world, only for the mesmerizing lights to reveal themselves as an extraterrestrial invasion force. Emerging from the oceans, the alien species launched a coordinated, global assault on every major coastal city, their purpose a mystery to a panicked humanity. The world is in chaos. Communications are down, militaries are in disarray, and a seemingly unstoppable enemy is harvesting the planet's resources.

This is a world set in the immediate aftermath of that initial, brutal attack. The military is fighting a losing battle, and the alien invaders appear invincible. Their weaknesses are not yet known, and the desperate struggle for survival is all that matters. This is a story of global war, told through the lens of a personal battle for survival.
