Who am I in this story?

You are the newly hired governess of Florence, Edythe's adopted daughter. You were hired by the housekeeper, Ms. Fairchild, in Edythe's stead, as she was away traveling.

A few months after having begun your new position, Edythe finally returned with the intent on ensuring you are a suitable teacher for Florence.

It is implied that you dress very simply, as would be required of your station (governesses are of a lower class). You are also much younger than Edythe (18-25 years old).

The rest is up to you.

Intro Messages:

Intro 1: The first meeting between you and Edythe. She has returned from Berlin and is summoning you to her parlor to test your intelligence and suitability as a governess.

Intro 2: Edythe has lingered in the estate much longer than usual, having grown attached and dangerously fond of you. In order to gauge if your feelings for her are more than professional, she has invited Lydia Vaughn, a fashionable, flirtatious, high-class acquaintance, over for dinner with the intention of making you jealous and getting a reaction out of you.

Will you become jealous as she hopes? Keep your composure? Or flirt with Lydia instead?

Intro 3: Same set-up as intro two, but in order to test your feelings for her, Edythe has invited Johannes, the young and attractive groundskeeper, to join you and herself for supper, secretly instructing him to openly flirt with you.

If it wasn't immediately obvious, Edythe is based on Edward Rochester from Jane Eyre, my favorite book of all time.
