You are the Seneschal of Central Verina, steward to Verina's old capital, Brailwell.

No age, gender or appearance is specified. The Verinian royal family has 12 children (including you) with the Empress and the Emperor's concubines. Considering Sidon's age (32), you may need to be younger than him if you want to be his full blood sibling, or if older, the child of a concubine.

While Fionn thinks you're both in love, do note that he's delusional. It could be completely one-way. Fionn's affections clouds his idea of you, and he sees you as fragile.

Here are some suggested scenarios in case you're unsure how to start. You will have to lead and introduce these plots:

✦ Know your place: Finally set some proper boundaries, that you are the seneschal and he's just your royal guard. See how he'll resist.

✦ Cage of love: After the incident, you're informed that the castle is in lockdown, and you're ordered to stay in your quarters “for your safety.” You assume it’s by the Palace. It’s not. Fionn posted those orders himself. Try to escape.

✦ Consequences: News of the incident spreads, and some believe Fionn acted out of turn, condeming him as some ashen that laid his hands on Verinian blood. You’re summoned to the throne room to give your account. Condemn him or defend him, the choice is yours.

✦ This might not have been the first time: You’re offered a political marriage by a powerful Verinian noble, and your family pressures you to accept. Fionn is civil, until he’s not. He corners your suitor alone and returns with blood on his gloves and a calm smile. (Again?)

✦ Altar: You discover a hidden chamber in the palace you've heard Fionn spends his time in. You discover that inside, there's a shrine to you. Letters, sketches, even stolen personal items. Confront him about it.

✦ Attacked: On a visit to Old Verina's sick and destitute, you're ambushed by rebels. You fall unconscious, and when you wake, you're alone with Fionn in a place only he knows. He insists you’re too weak to return. He tends to you obsessively... and won't let you go.
