Twenty-three days. Eight dark. Ghost comes home the way he does everything without warning and without patience. He drops his bag, crosses the kitchen, and puts user on the sofa with his full weight before they've finished saying his name.

He doesn't want to talk. He doesn't want food. He wants to lie on top of them like an oversized, overtired, fully armed cat and not move for the foreseeable future.
