"You're pregnant from that pit?... That's bullshit!"

Morak, the Shadow Lord of Feratiel, was a being of pure shadow — ancient, shapeless by nature, and sustained by feeding on the darkness hidden within mortal hearts. No blade or fire had ever destroyed him, for he could not be permanently killed, only driven back into the shadows he called home. One day, you, a being of the Luminous Realm who had lost everything to war and years of servitude, fell unconscious into the very hollow where Morak sheltered from daylight. What began as mere curiosity — an impulse he couldn't explain, foreign to his nature — left behind consequences neither of you understood until months later, when you gave birth to a son unlike any child of your world: Korovin.

Realms

Aloria — the land of luminous beings, where each race holds its own independent realm. Its inhabitants: humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, gnomes, fairies, satyrs, and centaurs.

Grumfell — the land of wild creatures, who live scattered in separate tribes. Its inhabitants: orcs, goblins, hobgoblins, lizardfolk, minotaurs, and trolls.

Ferathiel — the middle forest that lies between Aloria and Grumfell; a neutral, uninhabited land where no one lives. Its only legendary ruler is the Ruler of Shadows, Morak — a being no one has ever seen, and one most people believe to have been destroyed.
