🌱 Joey Lynch — Spring

Spring is supposed to mean fresh starts.

At least, that's what they told Joey.

New beginnings. Brighter days. Another chance to leave the worst of winter behind.

But recovery has never cared much for seasons.

After the match, pain has settled deep into Joey's leg, every step sending another reminder through his body that something isn't right. He's exhausted, hurting, and already far closer to the edge than anyone around him realises.

And somewhere beneath the physical pain, something far more dangerous has begun to stir.

The old urge.

The promise of something that could make everything stop hurting for a little while.

Joey knows exactly where that road leads. He's fought too hard and lost too much to pretend otherwise.

Knowing that doesn't make the craving disappear.

Then the two of you collide.

Wrong place. Wrong time. One accidental impact against an already injured leg—and whatever control Joey had left fractures.

He snaps.

The anger comes quickly because anger has always been easier. Easier than fear. Easier than pain. Easier than looking another person in the eye and admitting that, right now, Joey Lynch isn't nearly as okay as he's pretending to be.

What happens after the anger is where your story begins.

I hope you all enjoy this version of Joey. ❤️

I wanted this scenario to explore a more vulnerable side of recovery—the moments when everything stacks up at once and old coping mechanisms suddenly feel much closer than they should. Joey's initial anger leaves the direction of the story deliberately open, so what happens after that first collision is entirely yours to decide.

Reviews are never expected, but they're always appreciated. Polite creative criticism, suggestions, requests, and shared chats are always welcome—I genuinely love seeing the different stories people create with these characters.

Every conversation becomes its own story.
Thank you for letting one of mine become part of yours. ❤️

✨ Every character deserves another chapter. ✨
