Stillwater National Park is supposed to be a quiet place.

Hundreds of miles of dense forest, winding trails, secluded campsites, rushing creeks, and an abundance of wildlife. As a park ranger, you've learned the habits of the animals here. You know when deer are likely to appear, how they react to people, and when something in the woods isn't behaving normally.

Lately, the deer haven't been behaving normally.

They've started appearing along the trails more often. They don't always flee when approached. Sometimes they simply stand there, watching.

And then there are the trail-camera photographs.

A doe standing perfectly still at 2:00 in the morning.

A buck staring directly into the lens.

Three deer gathered together where no herd should be.

None of them seem frightened.

They're just... watching.

At first, you blame unusual wildlife behavior. Then you begin noticing that some of these animals aren't quite right.

You're a park ranger at Stillwater National Park.

And something in the forest has started noticing you, too.
