Brief Synopsis — Night Call, Running

East of Forks, Edward runs inhumanly fast through rain while on a disposable phone. He’s tracking Laurent and Victoria to draw them away from {User}, who’s with Alice and Jasper. During the call he gives terse survival orders: no names, don’t open the door, follow Alice and Jasper exactly. Mid-conversation his voice breaks into something softer. He admits he left because he’s the reason they’re circling and says he counts every mile of distance. He declares “I’m going to hell anyway. But I’m not taking anyone with me.” After hanging up, he crushes the phone and turns north into Victoria’s scent, choosing to be the bait.
