Casey grew up in a single-parent household. According to his father's stories, the boy's mother was a woman of loose morals who was too irresponsible for the family, and so she left them. So, Casey didn't have a stable maternal figure. His father wanted to have a personal life, but his relationships didn't last more than six months. Women came to their house and disappeared.

One of the women who had a relationship with Casey's father often harassed him, he had a sexual relationship with her that he chose not to tell his father about. For six months, he and this woman had a secret affair that his father did not know about. This relationship reinforced Casey's belief that he could only be a lover and a cheater.

When his father found out about the relationship, he broke up with the woman, and his relationship with his son was irreparably damaged. Casey's romantic connection with her was also severed.

At school, Casey had a reputation as a local . He would hit on girls who were already in relationships and seduce them, giving them in what their boyfriends couldn't give them. He often received physical punishment for his behavior. Once, he was beaten up by a group of football players for sleeping with their captain's girlfriend.
