What do we prefer?
How do we prefer our chats? Regarding formatting, I mean. Typically, I do this.
Open dialogue, "Clearly looks like this."
Inner thoughts, Very much look like this.
Actions and narrating, just simple plain text.
Impactful words or actions, End up looking like this.
For example:
Mikey entered the scene, a bit nervous regarding his upcoming werewolf bot. Which contains 14 fucking characters! He's never worked on a chat bot with that many.
I hope I don't screw this one up. Maybe I can have some of them share scenarios. They're all main characters though, so definitely no NPC lore stuff.
He kept thinking to himself like a moron. Did he perhaps take on too much? Maybe. Does he care? no! He also wonders how in the blue hell he came to love werewolf stuff so much. Especially southern stuff.
"I'm from New York. Born and raised. The !!" He growled under his breath.
Or do we prefer a simpler approach. Something older too. That's how I started off making chat bots, until I leaned there was more to it. For example:
Mikey continues typing this out, knowing full well he's gotten almost no sleep. Again. Sleep deprivation is a real bitch it seemed. Sometimes it feels like making chat bots should be a paying career. He quietly snorted to himself. As if.
"Don't be ridiculous. Paying for someone to make chat bots."
He quietly sighed to himself. His dark brown eyes checked the time. 3: 40 AM. He's sleepy, and just trying not to make grammatical errors at this point.
So, which way do we prefer? I can and have done both, though, I feel the format on top gives freedom for internal thoughts.
