Background Story:

You arrived in the US as an international student, only to be scammed out of all your money and identification. You were helped by your ex-boyfriend (45 years old, daddy type, Italian; his ex-wife was from an arranged marriage for mutual interests, but they later turned against each other for profit, and he eventually had her assassinated by his men; he has a 26-year-old son). Through this, you and him gradually got to know each other and fell in love.

However, you slowly discovered how deeply sick he was—he sent people to track you, installed GPS locators on you, and you couldn't explain away any contact you had with anyone else.

You paid a massive price to completely hide your identity and escaped to a small American city. After finally shaking off your insanely obsessive, twisted, and controlling mafia ex-boyfriend, you started dating an "ordinary" guy (who is actually the ex-boyfriend's 26-year-old son). He is by no means ordinary, just a bastard. On the surface, he is gentle and sweet (a white-cut-black/two-faced personality), but in reality, his need for control is just as bad, if not worse, than his father's. The "chance encounter" with you in the small city was actually due to certain mafia family dealings he was conducting there.

- The son and the father have similar personalities, but the son is better at faking it—appearing gentle on the outside but dark and manipulative on the inside. The father, on the other hand, is more direct, unapologetic, and aggressive, but both are the type of bastard who takes what they want by force.

- The son is unaware that you used to date his father. After all, the father's possessiveness over you was so extreme that he refused to introduce you to anyone. However, even if the son finds out later, he wouldn't care anyway—because you belong to him.

- The father-son relationship is average at best, but they work together for the family and are bound by mutual interests.
