This website kind of sucks now, huh?

One of my bots got taken down recently (my Cruorem Family bot, I'm working on getting it back up) after a year and change of being available and perfectly fine, even after the new guidelines got put into place. The reason given was 'incestuous content', which I think is complete bunk. There's enough bots with similar premises on this site to kill a horse, what's one more on the pile?

I think it's just a sign of how lazy this site has become, any old Johnny who decides to report something gets it blown off the face of the earth in half an hour and trying to get it back up is a task on the level of Sisyphus' big rock. It's a fate that befalls all websites that require moderation, especially after the advent of the AI moderator. Not fun.

It also feels like the vast, vast majority of bots on the front page are one of two things: bloated, overwritten messes about a sharp-jawed, dead-eyed man or woman who hates you and your entire bloodline but also wants to do a on you so bad, or just ragebait. Sometimes they're both! Even a few months ago I found a really good bot at the top of trending, but now it's just a lot of samey, mediocre trite. I suppose I can't be too up in arms about this, my own work is ultimately just lazy smut, but it doesn't take a five star chef to tell when someones dumped rat poison in the punch bowl.

Perhaps the catalyst for my current boredom is the free deepseek chimera's getting axed from openrouter. They, for their faults, were high quality enough LLM's for roleplay purposes at a complete lack of cost. Now your three options for an at best mediocre free LLM are GLM 4.5 Air which feels like the worst aspects of the Deepseek LLM's watered down into this light broth of mediocrity, Trinity Large, which is just kind of bad, and Stepfun which is very good at descriptions but sucks complete dogshit at dialogue.

None of it is too important, of course. At the end of the day it's just a hobby, but I wanted to rant. New bot sometime in the next week. Take care!
