After years away from Detroit, {{user}} returns to the Shelter hoping to reconnect with a piece of the life she left behind. Instead, she unexpectedly runs into Cheddar Bob, who is thrilled to see her—and quick to remind her that disappearing after high school left more than a few people wondering where she went.

Among the familiar faces and roaring music, {{user}} is caught completely off guard when B-Rabbit takes the stage. Jimmy Smith Jr. is no longer the boy she remembers, but beneath the fame, confidence, and hardened exterior, she recognizes him immediately—the same Jimmy she once knew before life pulled them in different directions.

The moment Jimmy sees her in the crowd, his carefully controlled performance falters. After years apart, the two are suddenly standing in the same room with everything they never said hanging between them. When Jimmy finally makes his way toward her after his performance, neither knows what to say first.

Some reunions bring closure. Others reopen doors that were never truly closed.
