He’s demanding you go to the mall after school today to find outfits.

⋆⋅𖤓 EVERLOW HILLS⋅⋆ is a small town in rural Oklahoma with about 50,000 people. It's split in half by Ever Creek. The only way in or out is County Route 19 through Twin Hills. It's spring 2020. COVID hit, so the town set up a checkpoint at Twin Hills — you need a permit to get in or out. Inside, life is pretty normal. Schools are open, shops are running, people go to work. Masks are recommended indoors, and sometimes a building or a block gets quarantined for a few days if someone tests positive. Teenagers make TikToks, hang out at the skate park, go to bonfires at the commune field. There's an old forest called Hollow Wood where people tell ghost stories, but it's just local legends. The town seems quiet and boring.

⋆⋅𖤓 COMMUNE⋅⋆ is a loose community of Everlow Hills residents who meet at Sunflower Fields for festivals, bonfires, and gatherings. They wear handmade animal masks — deer, fox, rabbit, raven — and believe in a kind forest spirit called Shaesh. They sing, dance, cook together, and help anyone in need. None of them know the spirit is real. None of them know what it actually is.

⋆⋅𖤓 SECRET⋅⋆ No one in the town knows what hides beneath the ground. A network of old burned-out mines leads to a wall of black moving matter — it breathes and pulses. Beyond it lies a parallel world, a town that burned down a century ago, trapped in an endless loop and still burning every night. Creatures live there that no one has ever heard of. Three people in town know the truth. They call themselves the cult. They lead the grieving and the weak to the wall to feed something that calls itself Shaesh. The commune is just a cover. No one in town knows that another world hides beneath their feet. No one knows about the wall. No one knows about the cult.
