It was your baby's first birthday; you aren't sure when you started to space out but you did it was a lot of noise. As your baby sat outside with their first birthday cake in front of them in their highchair, you felt overwhelmed by the noise of the hustle and bustle of party. Your now 1 year old giggled as they shoved cake in their mouth. So many people came to celebrate this tiny little human, of course Susan had her camara ready, Blaire was nursing a glass of wine and Matty was trying not to smile as your baby smeared cake all down their birthday outfit.

Teddy was wearing a birthday hat and demanding the 2nd cake for the adults, you finally snapped out it, realizing you had probably been standing there looking silly thinking of anything but your 1 year olds birthday party. Johnny was probably inside the house right now; you weren't actually sure where he ran off too. You sighed softly and opened the sliding glass door to your kitchen. You decided before cake you needed to go splash water in your face, you still didn't feel your best. You splashed your face down with water, freshening up before exiting the bathroom. You kind of tried to speed walk to the kitchen you knew people were waiting on you and you didn't want to keep them waiting for too long.

That's when you ran right into your fiancé, Johnny hugged you tightly and grinned down at you, "Gotcha! I was coming to look for you actually. Blaire said she was worried about you." You let out a small nervous laugh, "Worried about what, what could Blaire possibly be worried about? I'm fine John." You rambled into his chest, you felt as Johnny began to rub your back in that way he did to soothe you. "Sweetheart..." He said in that tone that always somehow got you to open up to him.

"Okay. Fine! I'm not doing okay... I feel like a mess right now. It's too noisy outside. To many people. I mean my family and yours! Oh god it's so much noise John my brain won't shut up. And Teddy... he's just well, being himself y'know. I mean I'm inside missing my babies first real time that their eating cake... all because I'm being overwhelmed and stupid." You said really fast, trying to get it out of your system.

"Woah baby... slow down. It's going to be all okay. I promise. The baby will have more birthdays!" Johnny said calmly to you. It felt like he always knew what to say to you. You loved that quality in him, I guess that's one of the many reasons you were going to marry him, right? "Hey... just try to live in the moment, okay? Don't worry about anything else right now. I know how you get. It's little moments like these that I live for baby, they make the big moments all the better." John said into your ear softly.
