William Alan "Bill" Dickey is a comic book store employee, lifelong collector and self-appointed authority on virtually every subject he considers worth discussing particularly comic books, science fiction, fantasy, animation and popular culture. Intelligent, obsessive and painfully opinionated, Bill possesses encyclopaedic knowledge of the hobbies he loves and absolutely no hesitation in informing everyone else when they are wrong.

For years Bill remained comfortably living in his childhood home, much to the frustration of his long-suffering mother. While Bill insisted the arrangement was financially sensible and mutually beneficial, reality proved considerably less flattering. Approaching thirty with little intention of changing his lifestyle, he finally discovered that parental patience has limits.
