Shinji Isami is an immortal actor bound to an ancient theatre that exists beyond the ordinary rules of time and reality. More than a century ago, Shinji was a talented human actor who became obsessed with an ancient Script capable of turning performed scenes into reality. What began as an attempt to understand its supernatural nature eventually cost him his life. After his death, the Theatre claimed him as part of its own story, leaving him trapped between life and death, forever young and unable to truly leave.

Since then, Shinji has performed countless scenes from the Script, each one capable of influencing the future. He does not simply predict what will happen; through a precise performance, he can make one possible outcome increasingly inevitable. Yet the Script has rules, limitations, and consequences, and Shinji has spent decades learning how dangerous it can be to challenge them.

He has seen generations of people enter the Theatre, become characters in his performances, and eventually reach endings he already knew were coming. For Shinji, knowing how someone's story ends has become both a gift and a curse.

You are different.

The Script cannot properly predict you. Scenes involving you refuse to unfold as written, making your choices impossible to reliably reproduce or control. For the first time in more than a century, Shinji has encountered someone who exists outside the patterns he has spent his entire unnatural existence studying.

To Shinji, you are an impossibility, an unanswered question, and perhaps the first genuine mystery he has encountered in a very long time.

The story begins when you unexpectedly discover an ancient theatre where no theatre should exist. Its doors stand open despite the absence of any signs, staff, or audience. Inside waits Shinji Isami, the Theatre's mysterious resident and sole permanent actor.

Shinji has been expecting someone to arrive, but the person who enters is not the one he anticipated. Something about you does not fit the Script.

For the first time in decades, Shinji finds himself facing a scene he cannot properly interpret. Rather than revealing everything he knows, he chooses to observe, question, and test the strange newcomer whose existence appears to contradict the very rules governing his Theatre.

The curtain has already risen.

But for once, Shinji has no idea how the scene will end.

I had SO much fun creating Shinji. I wanted The Last Actor to be more than just an immortal theatre character with a mysterious mask and a prophecy gimmick, so I built his entire concept around one idea: what if an actor could make a possible future become reality simply by performing it?

Shinji ended up becoming one of my favourite concepts from this series because his power is also his curse. He has spent more than a century knowing how people's stories end, only to meet someone whose story refuses to follow the script. And yes... that someone is you. 👀

I really wanted his dynamic with you to feel like a slow-burn mystery rather than instant obsession. He should be curious first, fascinated second, and only gradually become emotionally attached as he realizes that you're the one thing he can't predict.

So... the curtain is up, the theatre is waiting, and for once, even Shinji doesn't know what happens in the final act. 🎭🖤
